As part of our continued growth and development, we are looking for a motivated and innovative Research and Development (R&D) Manager to help us research new opportunities, improve our services, develop new business ideas, and support the future growth of the company.

About the Role

The Research and Development Manager will be responsible for researching market trends, customer needs, new technologies, and potential opportunities within the removals, transport, logistics, and delivery sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with company management to identify ways to improve existing services and explore opportunities for new services, improved working methods, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Research market trends and developments within the removals, transport, logistics, and delivery industries.
• Identify opportunities for new services and business development.
• Research customer needs and make recommendations for improving customer experience.
• Analyse competitors and identify potential areas where Advantage Removals can improve or expand.
• Research new technologies, software, equipment, and systems that could improve business operations.
• Develop ideas for improving efficiency, service quality, and operational processes.
• Assist in researching new markets, customer groups, and geographical areas for potential expansion.
• Work with management to develop and test new service ideas.
• Gather and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and present research findings and recommendations to company management.
• Support the development of new strategies aimed at improving business performance and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities relevant to the company's future growth.

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Good research and analytical skills.
• An interest in business development, innovation, transport, logistics, or customer service.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• The ability to analyse information and make practical recommendations.
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of digital tools, online research, and data analysis.
• A proactive and creative approach to identifying new ideas and opportunities.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in an R&D or management role is desirable but not essential. Training and support may be provided to the successful candidate.
